I’m taking advantage of a big snowstorm and trying out some different tools. This image began as a composite of two tigers in Photoshop and then I moved it over to iPad and iPhone for use with some mobile apps: Prisma, Lens Distortions, and Photoshop Mix for@iOS. I’ve said it before but mobile devices can do so much, especially when paired with apps like Prisma, Lens Distortions, Snapseed, and Photoshop Mix.
A pair of Mandrills. The male is in color to show off his features and the female is in black and white. Two different styles but both dramatic. Knowing your subject goes a long way toward getting looks like this. You need to work quickly with Mandrills because they will let you know quickly when you’ve overstayed your welcome. 😉
In a photographic rut? Try this little creative exercise: Limit yourself to one camera and lens instead of bringing your whole arsenal. In this case, I spent a couple of hours with just my iPhone. Not much to worry about, just get the shot. I did use the camera+ app(v2.0) to get the most out of the iPhone’s camera - 1/30 of a second @f/2.2 at ISO 80. Pretty much out of camera just as is with little processing . #snakes #phototip
